moving out of state, I decided to treat my mother to a stay at the b & b prior to leaving the following morning. We had a great time. Jim is extremely nice, welcoming and accommodating.
The house itself is beautiful. Something like 150 years old, it is very comfortable and inviting. We stayed in the third floor Schneider Suite. It is a lovely room with an very comfortable bed and private bath. The original pine wood floors are to die for too! The suite, complete with locally blended coffee and homemade chocolate chip cookies were the perfect touches.
Jim accommodated us with an early breakfast the following morning that was more than enough for our travels: eggs, pancakes, fruit, sausage and bacon (from the market) plus coffee and juice! Top that off with great conversation about the history of the house and neighborhood and we felt like we were sitting down for a regular family breakfast.
I definitely recommend this place for anyone who is looking to stay in an inviting, homey environment. If you are not into animals do not come, as they are a part of the home and a wonderful addition.
The house and neighborhood are wonderful and Jim is a peach!
