  • THRIFTY ICE CREAM HERE Cute little place in the plaza. I haven't had thrifty ice cream since i was in high school back in Cali so it was a nice surprise to have childhood memories come back. My favorite has ALWAYS been rainbow sherbet since thrifty ice cream is the only one that tastes kinda creamy instead of just icy. There were 2 girls working but only one of them were helping us, while the other one was doing something in the back. There were 5 of us so we were a bit of a handful i would say. They also allow you to SAMPLE the flavors before you actually make your final decisions. They have weekly SPECIALS going everyday as well which is always FUN! To add to the uniqueness of the place, they offer interesting sodas in a glass bottle w/ cute little names. MOCHA ALMOND FUDGE SHAKE $5.50 - you get to pick 2 different ice creams & 2 different toppings to add into the shake or you could get it on the side as well. RAINBOW SHERBET SCOOP $1.95 - single scoop of ice cream is so cheap! obviously not as cheap it used to be, but still.
