I so wish there was a Cambodian restaurant in Cincinnati. I didn't know what I was missing until a Cleveland friend suggested we meet here when I came to town. I've only had one dish, and I don't even remember what it was called, but it was memorably good!
After eating here, I explained the food as a cross between Thai and Vietnamese - which I thought of before I thought of the geography, which makes perfect sense. I can't find a menu for Phnom Penh online, but the dish had vermicelli noodles and chopped spring rolls and cucumbers and something akin to nuoc cham to pour on top. My friend and I both ordered the same thing with beef and spicy, and it was just packed with flavor and texture.
The location is good - in a nice strip near the West Side Market, and it has a nice feel on the inside. There is plenty of space, yet its well decorated and feels quite comfortable.
Hopefully I can update this at some point in the future when I've had a chance to read the menu again, write down some of the names, and most importantly - try more of the food!
