This was a very disappointing experience after I had wanted to visit here for many years. This visit was in July, 2015. My mom, son, and I visited for lunch around 1pm. It was moderately crowded but we got seated promptly. None of the staff smiled at us and they acted very stuck up. We were dressed up and they were still looking down their noses at us as if we were paupers off the street. How did they know whether or not we had thousands in our wallets ready to spend?!!! It took over 20 minutes just to get a server to take our drink order. He was too busy chatting up/schmoozing the large family seated by the window a few feet away from us to even acknowledge our presence. I don't remember his name but he had short blond hair, glasses, and was over 40. He had a very rude attitude and fake French accent. We should have left as this visit was going downhill fast, but we were hungry so ordered lunch anyway which took a long time to receive. My son and I got the onion soup gratinee which we thought would be French onion soup but ended up being a creamy soup very similar to lobster bisque. The food was very good (yet very pricey) but due to the sub-par treatment and service we received the food was not worth this visit. I was shocked at my experience because a few years ago a very friendly concierge gave us a tour of this place and some free, fresh bread from the oven. We had wanted to visit ever since. She would really be as surprised as we were at the crappy treatment we received years later upon our visit! What a disgrace to the Paris in general!
