| - My best friend, Dana, got married a week ago and we trusted Nikki with our tans. We didn't want to look fake or orange (who does?!) so we let Nikki know we wanted a natural glow. Nikki listened intently and understood that I wanted to look just a little sun kissed and Dana just wanted a little bit of color to offset her natural pink tone. Nikki explained everything in detail and answered all of our questions, which were numerous due to us being first timers. We didn't feel rushed at all; Nikki was happy to give us the ins and outs of spray tanning.
We did a trial run first with the "Natural Tan" and I felt gorgeous! True to its name, the tan looked very natural. Dana felt she may have gone a tad too dark but was overall happy with the tan as well. Apparently some spray tans have a really strong smell, which I don't know about because this was my first time. I noticed a smell associated with this tan, which isn't too bad or overpowering. I'm not a big fan of it because it makes me smell almost exactly how I smell after snowboarding all day-- which I know sounds weird but it's true! But the smell goes away after your first rinse, which is 8-12 hours after application for those who choose the Natural or Dark Tan options. **Note: I'm the only one on here that has noticed any smell so I'm thinking it must just be my body!** The tan will gradually lighten as each day passes. Dana's lasted for 3-4 days but mine literally lasted 9-10. Nikki says it's because of my skin type so not everyone will have the same results that I did. But I couldn't be happier!
When Dana's big day arrived, we were certain Nikki was our girl to make us look beautiful. We tanned with her the Thursday before the Saturday wedding, giving us the perfect-looking tan by showtime. Dana explained to Nikki that she felt a little too dark during the trial run and Nikki did a great job of correcting it the next time around. Our tans looked flawless. I am VERY naturally white and Dana has a tint of pink to her skin. If you look at the photos I posted, you can't even tell that we received spray tans (which is the point!).
Pricing is competitive. We paid $40 each for our Natural Tans ($5 off each because we came together). Nikki lists her pricing on her website, which is straightforward. She even has a loyalty program and packages. She works out of her casita which she turned into a studio. It's the perfect, private space. Nikki is super personable and friendly. We tanned nude and she made us feel totally comfortable!
I highly recommend Nikki Bee Airbrush tanning for your special occasion or just because! She is a true professional and will make you look gorgeous! I look forward to using her services again.
