The Imperial War Museum is worth visiting just to see the building itself because it is an amazing piece of architecture. It is an abstract building made of steel and houses some wonderful exhibitions on all aspects of war. They have a film show every hour which is projected onto the actual walls of the building, a modern take on the usual viewing room and in the main hall cars, a plane and even an army tank feature on show. Also many of the exhibits are interactive making it perfect for children. Instead of glamorising war it is more of a warning of war, so you do not leave feeling depressed. Highly recommended.
