I had a problem with my refrigerator not keeping temp. Carl came out & said I needed a thermostat. He said with parts, labor & tax it would be $260.24. That sounded really high but I guess it was better then buying a new refrigerator. The part was ordered & came in about a week later. Carl came out & installed it in maybe 45 min. or so, it did not take long at all. Carl was fantastic. I really think he should go to work for a more honest company!LOL
Conclusion: I am retired but while working I worked as a purchasing agent for a company that had six dealerships which I did all the buying for. I also worked for an exporter who did overseas contracts for a multitude of parts & large machinery. I also did contracts for the military serving Hawaii, Alaska, Guam, Saipan, etc. So now what I did was having the part number from the invoice I called Appliance parts company down on Western to get MY cost on the same part number. It was $36.94 with 36 in stock. I was charged $101.98 not a bad profit. I was also charged $150.00 for labor, again not bad for 45min or so work. Thank God they did not mark-up the tax which was $8.26! Well enough said. I am for every business making a fair profit & still keeping the customer happy but in this case I guess Mr. Gordon is not interested in keeping me!
