  • A huge waste, when all I got was a one hour and twenty minute sales pitch. I made it very clear when I went in that my little girl Serene (dog) was not a candidate for an MRI, and that I wanted as little done with her as possible. any stressful event triggers a seizure. I went there because their website boasts that they have a new CT scan that shows cancer, injuries, dental disease and nasal disease and all in 18 minutes. Wow! So I saw Dr. Mundschenk . after being there over an hour Mundschenk told me that their CT scan does NOT show all those problems. What? I told her their website clearly states it does. No, she insisted that only an MRI would do that. I told her Serene will NOT have an MRI as I do not believe she would survive it (update for those who do not know a lot of sick dogs do NOT survive the hour long MRI procedure according to HONEST vets, of which my cousin is one, and a longtime friend in Fla. is another). She also said that even if Serene had just the CT scan (though apparently she thinks the CT scan is crap) she would also need dental x-rays. She argued that the good vets know the CT scan can't be used for dental. Oh, so why does your website actually boast that it can? Then she wanted more blood work. Serene has had her blood tested twice in the last month and every imaginable test on the books has been done. Yes, says Munschenk, but one month for a dog is like a LIFETIME for humans. Really? I don't know of any other vet who says that. usually, it's good for six months. I can see the words "kachink kachink" going on in her head. She refused to let me get the CT scan w/out the bloodwork and dental x-rays. So I left without doing anything. This was very hard on poor Serene as we drove an hour to get there, an hour back and were there for an hour and a half. I told Munschenk that they should have warned me on the phone that I would not be able to get a CT scan without jumping through hoops. It's deplorable that these heartless and soulless monsters pray on desperate pet parents.
