  • I've been to this salon a total of 4 times now. My first two visits to Luxy Nail Salon, Aiden had done my nails, and did an amazing job both times. Aiden is very talented with doing nails, very professional and a great conversationalist. He's super welcoming unlike most employees I've encountered at other nail salons. But I also wanted to create a review based on my two most recent visits here, which weren't so pleasant. My third visit, the woman who had done my nails didn't speak much English which was fine but as someone who has worked in a customer service industry, I believe you should at least introduce yourself to customers...especially in a more intimate setting as in doing someone's nails and sitting with them for the next hour...Not a big deal but it's the basics so you think it should go without saying. Anyways, she did an so/so job on my nails. I got a gel manicure. She worked really fast and my nails looked decent. But my nails started chipping the following day...That didn't happen when Aiden did my gel manicures. When Aiden did my gel manicures, they lasted and did not chip at all. As for my fourth visit, a younger girl did my nails, around my age I'd say (22), unfortunately I don't know what her name is because she didn't properly introduce herself either. She spoke great English which and was a great conversationalist...but she lacked in her nail skills. Honestly, she did a horrible job with my nails. My nails look sad. I've never had such a bad nail job. As you can see in the photos I've posted, my nails are filed unevenly, the gel polish was not properly applied/coated (that's why it looks so bumpy), there are unpainted parts of my nails, and not all of my previous gel color was removed before the application of the new gel color. I was charged $30 for the gel application service and I still tipped the girl, only because she was very polite. Aiden is perfect but I can say a couple of employees need to work on a few things...I don't mean this in a rude way, I mean it in a constructive criticism sense. Hopefully they can improve and represent their business to the best of their abilities! The potential is there! Also, I would like to see some improvement in the cleanliness and upkeep of the salon, they are lacking in this area as well.
