  • I contacted poolman to get on their saltwater service as it sounded like a good deal to get chemical maintenance and a salt system. The catch is they send a "manager" out to get me signed up and he tells me my pool is too cloudy and I need a sand change before they will start the salt water service. They quoted me $260 for the sand change which sounded reasonable. They then sent out a "technician" who came to my house and took apart my filter without me being there and told me I basically needed my whole filter re-built for $1300(BS). I told him I didn't think that was necessary and just wanted the sand changed and suddenly the cost for that was now $500. What a total waste of time dealing with them.
