| - I wanted so badly to enjoy this salon that is so close to my home, but I just didn't. My mom and best friend were visiting me from out of state and we thought we would have a girls evening. Originally, my mom set up the appointment for the two of us via Facebook when she was inquiring about their prices. We thought this was great. However, when I called to add on another person to our reservation (best friend was surprising my mom), the gentleman on the phone was unaware of the previous appointment we had made. He was glad to add us to their schedule, which was good. But, it took several calls and a few messages exchanged via Facebook to get the working phone number for the establishment.
Once there, my pedicure was started and my mom and best friend sat waiting for a good 5-10 minutes with half of a bucket of cold water because my nail tech didn't want theirs to get cold and said you can't drain the bucket once it is full. This was when she began getting a little frustrated with us, which only escalated with any question I had regarding my services I was paying for. By the time I was done, she had a full blown attitude with me. She noted that it was only her third day there, but I feel as though she should at least know better when it comes to manners and being friendly. My best friend also had a few issues with her nail tech, but I can not attest to those. I am giving Onyx two stars simply because my mother stated that she had a good experience and her nail tech was friendly. The atmosphere is also very lovely and well-decorated. Otherwise, it is a place I will not be returning to.
