I wasn't really impressed with this hotel. I'm really not that hard to please but I guess I had set my expectations a little too high. It was my first time in Vegas and I was expecting grand hotel entrances, big lobby's, and fancy rooms with updated technology. That isn't exactly what this hotel was.
When the taxi first dropped us off the main circle entrance to the hotel we got out and didn't know where to go... there was no grand main entrance, we found a glass door with a small staircase inside, no elevators or escalators and asked a man if this is how we get into the lobby... maybe it was under construction but it was just a really weird main entrance to something and we had to lug our backs up all the stairs. We got there at 4:30 and thought it would be fine checking in since our room was to be ready at 4:00. It took over an hour to check in! There was a GIANT line in the lobby to check in. The line was so much longer than the line for TSA at the airport... When we got to our room it was completely dark. There was also an hour long line to check out. Just for those reasons I'm not sure I would want to stay at this hotel again... I would rather pay a little more money and not have to spend two hours in line.
But I think you can actually skip the long line if you check in online and check out online? I just never thought to do that since I've never had to wait in line to check in at a hotel before, and I've stayed at hundreds of hotels, even in NYC.
PROS:
The biggest thing this hotel has going for it is that it is literally right in the middle of everything... all the good Casinos, clubs and shopping are right next door! Good for walking to stuff.
Giving it three stars only because they upgraded us to a bigger room 4 doors next to our friends on the top floor.
Cons:
The hotel is old and a lot of stuff such as plumbing is out of date (drains were clogged in room)
1hr+ line to check in / out
Large Hotel Fee ($50 for two nights)
Floor numbers written in sharpie next to elevator buttons.
Old out of date look to casino.
