  • This new location is a just a shadow of the original. It lacks a lot of the things that make the original location great. The character of the Plaza Midwood location is gone, and this location feels like any chain place in the area. While the food was pretty good, my wife and I had a generally bad service experience. Our waitress was far from attentive, so ordering and getting refills was a tedious process. The worst thing came hidden in our chips and queso: random nasty, burned pieces of fryer garbage were strewn throughout our chips. Apparently general kitchen cleanliness is an issue at this location. Worse yet, when we brought the issue up to our waitress, she barely apologized and didn't comp it at all. Overall, I won't be back to this location, even if I'm in the area. There are too many food choices in Charlotte to settle for mediocrity.
