| - I've not been as humiliated, chortled and belittled so much for my condition; and purposely misled as this office did me......since I was in elementary school AND I'VE BEEN A PATIENT OF Retina Consultants of Nevada FOR NEARLY 10 YEARS! In 1963, I was diagnosed with Juvenile Onset Diabetes - Type 1 - and now suffer from Retinopathy. Dr. Parker was the first to examine me. Dr. Simon professionally and meticulously performed laser surgeries to save my eyesight and Dr. Vu executed follow-ups in the same proficient and cordial manner as did Parker and Simon which secured my utmost loyalty whereas even though I now live 400 miles away, I continued to drive the distance to see them. Parker, Simon and Vu are no longer there and this place has gone to hell in a hand-basket! Last year I decided to try their Laughlin office which is about 70 miles closer. I was given a morning appointment with Dr. Yepremyan. Less than a week before the appointment, I was called to have it rescheduled. I explained to the woman that I had to drive more than 300 miles to get to Laughlin and I had NON-REFUNDABLE hotel reservations. She allowed the appointment to stand. When I got to the office there were 20 to 30 patients in the waiting room. Dr. Yepremyan arrived an hour late and saw me 2 hours after that. I told him that NOBODY lives as long as I've lived with Diabetes unless they eat on time! He concurred and then expedited my procedures so I could get out of there and go eat. I didn't care for the wait time I had in the Laughlin office so I decided to go back to the Las Vegas office in 2016. Last Wednesday, 1/13/2016, I was scheduled to see Dr. Yepremyan again at 2:55 in the Las Vegas Maryland Parkway office. Here I am 400 miles away from home in a Las Vegas hotel where, on Tuesday night 1/12/2016 at 5:24pm, I receive a phone call telling me that my Wednesday appointment must be rescheduled. I explain my situation to the woman and she tells me to come in at 3:55pm instead. I then tell her that, due to all my laser treatments, I have night blindness and I will be driving, so it's imperative that I'm out of the office and on my way back to the hotel BEFORE DARK. I arrived at the Maryland office an hour early and am told that Dr. Yepremyan NOW has an emergency and has left the office and won't return until 4:30pm! So now the half day off he wanted to take has turned into an EMERGENCY? This man doesn't give a crap about me or my TIME nor will he ever give a crap about you and your TIME! Next, I leave the office. Halfway back to the hotel I get a phone call to return and a promise I will be seen by another doctor, right away. So I turn around. When I get back, they take me right in and dilate my eyes, knowing I need to leave before dark, because I have night blindness. And then they made me sit for an hour. Nothing. Sunset on 1/13/2016 was at 4:47pm and I was beginning to panic. I left the office at 4:37pm and as I was leaving, a woman - 1 of their employees, perhaps the office manager - dressed in pink medical attire chortled and demeaned me, as if it was all my fault that a doctor had not yet seen me. Do you know what it's like driving through rush hour Las Vegas traffic with dilated eyes and night blindness after the sun sets? I'm thinking they, deliberately and under the false premise that I would see another doctor, dilated my eyes thinking I would sit there until Dr. Yepremyan got back to the office. Oh yeah, and to add to this false premise, they scanned my eyes about 10 minutes before I departed. My eyes were never examined by a doctor and I better not see such charges on my bill. And I can only hope and pray, perhaps they should too, that no ill effects such as hemorrhaging will happen as a result of not being examined due to the incompetent, unprofessional and non-caring Dr. Yepremyan and current entire staff at this Las Vegas Maryland office! It seems this office and its new doctors are riding the professional shirttails of Doctors Parker, Simon and Vu and by doing so they're ruining the reputation of one of the finest medical facilities I've ever visited. There are other Retina specialists in and around Las Vegas and should you have need for one, I highly suggest you steer clear of Retina Consultants of Nevada! The professionalism, expertise and compassion has "left the building" as far as this office is concerned!
