  • Thankfully a recent online article led us to the newly branded Luca ristorante and after our first visit- it definitely won't be our last. The decor is warm and romantic with a very low noise level. Luca is a perfect place for a date or impressing visitors. Jeff, our server, was pleasant and professional. The kitchen staff is equally professional delivering high quality, perfectly prepared dishes. The menu has some logic which Jeff took us through. Every dish we had was just the right portion and absolutely delicious. Highly recommended are the polenta fries with aioli, baked eggs in tomato sauce (I could eat this every day), scallops with butternut squash veloute', and panna cotta with the incredible berry compote that has a wonderful note of fresh mint. Luca Modern Italian Kitchen is now on our top 5 list and a true gem of Charlotte. Motto ben fatto!
