| - 3.5 stars... i've stayed here numerous times throughout the decades...big castle-themed hotel at the beginning of The Strip...on the original 4-corners...the casino part is old now...not much remodeling...dungeon-feel...well, i guess that is the theme here... the midway is called Fun Dungeon, but not fun anymore...beat up & quite vacant down there these days...unlike Circus Circus, on the other end, who has expanded...
ROOMS | they did remodel Tower 2, "Contemporary Tower"...pretty decent...see my pix... idk about tower 1 cuz i haven't been in there for a lllong time...alwaz get my free upgrades...fyi, 2 L-shaped towers seems as if there are 4 actually... Tower 2 rooms have plush microfiber headboards, pillowtop mattress, stitched leather nightstands, big wooden dresser, 42" plasma tv, sitting area, spacious bathroom w/ granite countertop & walk-in shower (no tub), etc...free wifi for up to 4 devices, domestic calls, etc...$20 resort fee & 12% tax...
rates are great for The Strip...even better if u get comped like me, lol... lil to no waiting in the VIP check-in section, compared to the long lines for regular registration...gotta love that...friendly receptionists too...i alwaz get checked in early, which is another plus not having to wait in the long bell hop line to leave luggage...
XTRAS | i've brought diff ppl to their din show, Tournament of Kings, at diff times b4...fun, medieval, knights, horses, jousting, eating w/out utensils & drinking from goblets...would attend again...
i'd skip The Steakhouse at Camelot...their sister resto, Tender steak & seafood, @Luxor is wwway better!...
Dick's Last Resort resto seems like a lot of FuN w/ goofy paper hats & all... there are a lot more shows & restos (casual tho) 2 consider...
lastly, seems like they have many pools, but i've nvr checked them out once during my many stays...nxt time maybe...
