| - update on Affordable dental. It has been a couple years since my last visit. A lot has changed in 2 years. all of the staff have either quit or been fired. They have been replaced by incompetant, rude, and inexperienced workers. The word "affordable" no longer applies to the prices they charge. I was quoted a price of $2400.00 for a full gold crown. Even though in the past, they have charged me $1300 for the same exact thing twice in the past. They offered me a 100 dollar discount. Gee thanks! Note: I can maybe understand charging high prices if you have a dentist that has say 20 or 30 years experience. But the doctor I was seen by only graduated from dental school in 2015. I promptly shopped around, and have found other dental offices that charge a lot less. One that I chose has started working on my new crown, and is only charging $1400.00
The atmosphere at this location has deteriorated quite a bit also. It used to be a friendly relaxing environment, and lots of patients coming and going, staff working well together. on my recent visit, two technicians came in to work, and one was mumbling about how crappy the job is, and the other said just be positive. One technician asked front desk manager if it was okay to prep my exam room and was reprimanded to focus only on "scheduled patients". The 2 ladies at the front desk were making fun of the other employees, behind their backs. Not something I have ever witnessed at a dental office before. The people working there seem unhappy, and it makes me wonder how willing and able are they to provide me with good friendly and competant service.
I also noticed that the exam room is rather run down and not well maintained. Dental chair looks like it was rescued from a thrift store, and handles were broken off of cabinets.
Dental technician wound up having to take xray 5 times before she got it done correctly. Inexperienced. and I am expected to pay almost double in prices? I dont think so.
I am sad to have to report that affordable dental will no longer be getting any business from me. They care more about price gouging than the patients care and comfort.
An attempt to reach out to the owners of this chain of dental offices was ignored. Not surpising, considering this chain has changed its name a couple times in the past to avoid past negative reviews. They also are not bbb acredited. No surprise there either.
