I really wanted to like this place with all the reviews and rewards it's received but it fell very short of all the claims. We went there on a Wednesday afternoon around 430 in the afternoon. There was only one table when we got there. The server who seemed to be the only one on duty greeted us and told us to take a chair anywhere. He presented us with menus and went and spoke with the other table for about 10 minutes before coming back and taking our drink order. Another 10 minutes went by before we got our drinks and we were missing half for drinks to begin with. We only got glasses of water and not the ice tea that we asked for. Literally 25 minutes went by after we have placed our order before we got some breadsticks in a paper bag. We went with the recommendations and had a small half house salad, the beef carpaccio, the chicken marsala and the manicotti. We were there for total of 35 minutes before any of our appetizers came out. The beef carpaccio I gave a 5/5. The aioli that comes on it, a mustard blend, and the fresh arugula with some shaved Parmesan was absolutely delicious. The salad wasn't all that impressive. Some mixed greens with some tomatoes and a vinaigrette. 3/5. The restaurant started to become full around 445, 5 o'clock. Within about 20 minutes they had seven table sat. Only one server and two bussers for the entire restaurant. Between five and 530 we only saw our waiter one time. We finally got our main course almost an hour after being there. Mind you for about half an hour we were the only table in there. Let's start with the chicken marsala. Horrible. Noodles were beyond under cooked. Secondly the chicken was very inconsistent. Some parts were rubbery and chewy and some pieces were overcooked and tough. We counted four pieces of mushroom total in the marsala sauce. This was horrible and we didn't touch it. We gave this a 1/5. The pastor noticed we didn't like it and asked if we would like anything else and we politely declined. We were fine paying for the entrée but he told us he would take it off. The manicotti was a 3/5. Nothing special. Bland red sauce with shells stuffed with a standard ricotta cheese blend. And honestly tasted like they had prepped it earlier on in the week and just kept frozen. Nothing special at all. Good portion size though, as it came with four pieces. The poor server was definitely overrun with as many tables as he had. Overall service was lacking, food was mediocre at best and we probably won't be going back.
