| - My haircut: 4 stars. I went from long hair long side bangs to straight bangs, shorter hair. I had Brittany. I explained and showed her pictures of ideas of how I wanted my hair, and with it styled and everything, it did not look a bit like the pictures. I wanted to cry and go home and wash my hair and hopefully I can style it better myself. But that's just me most the time when I get a haircut. At least a month later now, I like it a lot :) plus I've gotten a lot of compliments about my new haircut. So, thank you Brittany!
What really ruined my experience was the owner. Here's the story and I'll make it as short as possible. I wanted to get a haircut, so I went on Groupon to find salon deals. Just so happened Groupon was doing 20% off select Salon and Beauty Groupons...and Salon Kokomo was one of them. I called and see if they could get me in the same day, yes. I told the lady on the phone I was going to purchase a Groupon, but she said to not buy it and they'll honor it. I also told her there's also an extra 20% off the Groupon so it's $22, is that the price they'll honor? Yes. Ok I'll be in at 1!
Fast forward to after haircut- I was trying to pay. They're like, $29. I pulled up my Groupon app, and their deal, and it says $22...no code necessary! It's just a beauty deal which Groupon marked down for a short period. They ask for the owner and she comes up, looks at the deal, and asks Brittany why she didn't take care of this before I got my haircut. (So you weren't going to let me get my haircut for $22 if we were to make the payment first?) Then the owner tells me that "this is fraud, it's a scam that's going around, and it's not real, blah blah blah. We've had the deals for years and it's always been $29. ..but oh I'm not saying it's your fault, I'm just saying what you have right here is fake. We'll go ahead and take it for you this time."
FIRST, my Groupon app is legit. SECOND, understand Groupon before you use it for your business! Groupon always has these deals, one week it's extra 10% select getaways, or 20% off select spas...you Groupon users know the drill. THIRD, just because you think it's a scam, you don't have to tell me and make me feel like I'm trying to scam you guys. FOURTH, fine, don't honor it. I'll just buy the Groupon for $22 and give you the Groupon. In the end, you'll probably earn less money.
SO, don't ever be so rude to your customers again! I really want to give this place 2 stars, or 1 star, but Brittany was really nice and I really did end up loving my hair, so I'll cut some slack.
