Golf is the closest game to the game we call life. You get bad break from good shots. You get good breaks from bad shots. But you have to play the ball where it lies. Starfire Golf Club offers an awesome country club experience without the pricey tag. Nestled near McCormick Ranch, you'll get beautiful views of the homes in the area. It's literally a hop and skip from my office. It's a well kept course and always a great view from Hayden or Cactus Roads. Starfire is perfect for leagues and office outings, weddings, shenanigans; in fact, my league plays here on Thursdays. It's a 27-hole course but I usually play the King's course. It is also part of the golf association if you are trying to get your official handicap card!
Staff is wonderful and attentive from the pro shop to the golf check-in. During the summer though, the grill hours close at 3p. I can't attest to the food but given the kind of service you can expect here, you won't be disappointed. Happy hour is usually bustling and I plan on checking out their weekend brunch. They have their play 9 specials so it's a great excuse to get out and play some golf. You might run into me perfecting my drive so roll on up and let's play!
