  • I'm usually not a complainer, but brace yourselves because that is exactly what I am about to do. Me and my husband decided to stop in for a quick breakfast last Thursday. We had been here a few times before and love the atmosphere so we figured it would be a quick place to stop in before we had to work. We got there and were waved to find a seat wherever, which isn't out of the usual so we sat in the last booth by the kitchen door. We sat for at least 5-6 minutes before we were even acknowledged, got drink orders, etc. Now me and my husband both worked in the restaurant industry, so we understand, sometimes there is more going on than meets the eye. So silently we waited another 7-8 minutes for our drinks to arrive (two coffees and an orange juice, in the morning those should be pretty standard) We placed our order when she brought us back our drinks and this is where the fun begins. So we both ordered standard menu options, no substitutions, nothing crazy. We sat there waiting for our food, watching our surroundings as we do everywhere and it seemed like the servers were more into their little server drama than actually giving us service. There was a girl with a UFO tattoo who couldn't stay off here phone. Even went to where the bathrooms are and decided to make a phone call. When she realized a guest was approaching the restrooms she immediately went into the woman's restroom and made the guest wait outside of it until she was done talking so the guest could use it. Ridiculous. The food runner looked like she had poor hygiene and honestly didn't want her touching my food and I am NOT the kind of person that typically thinks that. But when it look like hair hasn't been washed in weeks, and I can see underwear through thin leggings, its pretty gross (to me). It was honestly just awful. And to make things worse, we watched two tables come in after us, get their drinks, food, and almost be ready for their bills before our food even came to the table. We waited about 45 minutes before my husband told our "waitress" that we couldn't wait any longer and we just wanted to pay for our drinks otherwise we would be late for work. You could tell the server wasn't even fazed by this at all, she said "well you don't have to pay for your drinks" OKAY?? you think the 5 dollars in drinks is what were disputing??? Like that's the best you can do? not "oh I'm so sorry, let me rush that and get it to go", or "let me take care of breakfast next time", or even "let me go grab my manager"! Absolutely ridiculous. While we were for our food we knew something had went wrong with it because of the number of servers looking over at our table. but NO ONE SAID A WORD. That is the industry your in. Service. if you cant provide it, go bag groceries down the street. I will definitely not ever go back here. If I were the owners of this establishment, I would go into damage control mode quick. Because you don't want the executive chef of a major charlotte restaurant bad mouthing your restaurant........
