like the "cool kids only club" in grade school that actually was just fluff to make others envious.
ok, the spoke club is better than fluff. it's actually quite nice if you can get in... that is, it's a private, members-only club (read: pay for membership).
once you're in, you'll get: great service due to a lower guest to staff ratio, both well-trained in their respective roles in the art of hospitality; space to rub elbows with those presumably at "your level"; decor that looks nice even when the lights are on and not dimmed to disguise cheap (you know what i'm talking about. if not, look closer); and, a well-edited wine menu.
i had a nice visit and would consider joining if it were not for that fact that i'm not into forking over money to schmooze and exclude others. great venue for those types though, and occasional observations by moi.
