I called LV Restoration to obtain a price quote for installation of a replacement manifold for a Whirlpool Reverse Osmosis. The Reverse Osmosis was sent the day before by Lowes Warranty Program. I had waited a week before receipt with the lubing leaking in buckets under my sink. I choose LV Resoration since it was a veteran operated company and I have been ripped off in the past with incomplete or poor installation.
I set up a time for Brian the technician to give me a quote and tell me what needed to be done to install the new manifold. I turned off the water prior to Brian's arrival. I showed him the replacement manifold and removed the buckets under the sink. I brought in a shop-vac to suck up accumulated water under the sink cabinet.
Brian started to disassemble the old cartridge and install the on the new manifold and removed red, black and yellow tubing into the elbow fitting on the new manifold. I asked him to check the faucet hoses for leaks. The job was completed in less than 30 minutes...I was asked what I was quoted on the phone for installation.
I told him the office said you would give me a quote before the job was started. It was a little late to give me a quote after it was installed he indicated it was $200. less 10 percent $180. was the final price. I know that plumbing is expensive, however, I paid less to have the entire Reverse Osmosis drinking water system installed that included drilling a whole in the stainless steel counter top.
He gave me several other quotes non written which were out of my price range for replacement or repair. I hope your veterans based company takes care of hiring qualified veterans to share in your profit taking. It seems you are more focused on insurance claims than honest service to the customer. I will not hire LVR for any future repairs or recommendations!
