The Bistro Buffet at the Palms has quickly become my favorite Buffet off the Strip.
The food quality is really good, especially the mini portions served on individual plates like their mac and cheese and creamy polenta dishes (reminds me of the Wicked Spoon). They also have 3 carved meat options with a crunchy outside/tender inside pork belly, turkey and roast beef. The dinner menu has a NY steak that is excellent, super tender and flavorful. The only reason that I wouldn't give this place a 5th star would be that there isn't enough excellent dishes (like the steak) to be a perfect experience, although everything is above average.
The desserts are pretty good as well with the only complaint being that there's no ice cream, only the standard buffet soft serve fair. I like their waffle cone for the soft serve and their mini eclairs.
The service is good w/ comp. alcohol for lunch and dinner.
