As a practicing professional in landscape architecture, I can tell you this is about the worst place homeowners can purchase plants:
-They are incredibly overpriced
-Employees work on commission...of course they are friendly
-If you don't buy their warranty and tree planting service, very likely the plants will die and will not be replaced
-If you DO buy the warranty and planting service, plants will still die and it will be a struggle to have them replaced by MV
-Most plants have inadequate root growth
-Most plants have bound roots
(This is why they die)
-YOU will be blamed for the plants dying
-Most plants are pumped with minerals that make them look beautiful (green, full), but have unhealthy root growth (so they die shortly after you plant them)
-Trees are improperly staked, I'll spare you the science, but basically they are not allowed to become strong on their own, so they snap or turn into gumby once un-staked or during a storm/wind.
-Fruit trees are not always what they say they are, many times the graft takes over and you are left with 'sour oranges' (they will not replace them)
