| - Harrison Hurwitz was the first person my fiance and I hired after getting engaged in 2008. We did hours of internet and magazine research and Harrison always stood out. We were impressed by the quality of his work on his website and then, after meeting him, we were just as impressed with his professional demeanor.
Harrison's portfolio speaks for itself. He is an experienced editorial photographer and a true artist. And just like any good artist, he doesn't rely solely on the medium, an expensive camera or fancy software, to create his photographs for him. He has an eye for it. Something you either have or don't have in his business, and he has it.
Harrison's photographs are honest. It seems like so many wedding photographers out there make up for their lack of talent, with an insane amount of post editing wherein the authenticity of a moment is lost. All I wanted in our wedding photographs was to be able to look at them years later and remember exactly what I felt that day. And because of Harrison's photographs, I can. When I look at all of the beautiful images he took that day, it's like I am reliving the experience in a true and honest way.
Throughout the entire planning phase, Harrison answered all my emails promptly, arrived early to the event to prepare, and, even after he was paid in full, he still maintained the same reliable character. It's so rare to find someone who is an artist and a professional and Harrison is both.
A few years have passed since our wedding, and my husband and I have talked about our wedding so many times. And Harrison always comes up in these conversations as one of the best decisions we made for our big day.
