| - My bf and I came here for brunch, and we found the experience unimpressive and below average.
I got the cherry crepes and he got the bacon egg crossiant. The cherries in my dish were so sour that I couldn't taste the crepe, powdered sugar, whipped cream, or syrup; I may as well have been eating a can of fermented cherries (without the alcohol, unfortunately). Definitely not worth $7.50. The bite I took of the $9 crossiant sandwich was dry; the crossiant part wasn't flaky or crispy and the eggs tasted like cardboard. The bacon was fine, but there wasn't enough of it to make up for the rest. We also got some hot chocolate, which tasted like the cheap grocery store kind (that I have sitting in my cupboard and could've made better for much less)....
The place itself is small and cramped, with some four tables and chairs crowded around each. There was only one spot with two empty, adjacent chairs when we went to sit down, and it was across from three rather loud gossips who had finished their meal long ago. We got to hear all about their snooty disregard for x, y, and z, as well as their impromptu contest for worse singer. Sitting at any of the other tables probably would've only been a little better; everyone seemed to huddle together to isolate themselves and not interact outside their little groups. (It reminded me of those family reunions where half the family had disowned the other half and refused to acknowledge their presence at the dinner table.)
Anyway, not sure how a place like this got such rave reviews, but it was a terrible experience and we will not be coming back.
