  • Dated, dated, and dated that would be the only way to describe this hotel. I stayed here recently with my girlfriend and we got a room in a casita here and the place was jam packed so we waited for about an hour and a half to get our room keys. Oh and as we were getting the keys they also asked if we wanted to valet for $22.00 a day or SELF PARK for $14.00 a day??? Who charges someone to self park??? I am paying to stay at your "5 star" hotel and am paying you for the privilege of parking my own car???? Well that was the first bad sign of staying in an outdated hotel. When we get to our room at the casita, there are no parking spots open?? So we have to park next to the curb in a non existent parking spot, at one point scratching the rims on my expensive rental car (thanks again for the $14.00 a day parking fee and not having enough parking spots to park at your casita?? Then we walk up to our room... Yeah the door looked like it was at least 50 years old and the bottom of the door was starting to rot away (see attached pictures). The carpets had stains on them and the balcony had what looked like mini wasp nests on the ceiling. And it does not end there, the whole room looks like it was designed in the 70's, complete with furniture that you couldn't get at a garage sale nowadays and the bathroom did not have a vent; or at least not a working vent so if you went to the bathroom you would need to give it some time before anyone else could use it. Overall I would never stay at this hotel ever again, it was $600.00 a night and then at the end of our stay we also ended up paying an extra $340 some odd dollars for the "self parking fee" and the resort fees.. If you are old and looking to play a couple rounds of golf and are stuck in a time warp go to the Phoenician; otherwise do yourself a favor and stay at The Sanctuary or Omni hotel; as both are in a different class than this place.
