  • After a long day of travel, I was so anxious to relax. The very pleasant desk attendant finally noted my presence after a few minutes as she was in an adjoining room. I booked this hotel on a third party website and though I only needed one king size bed, the 2 double bed rate saved me $180 for 3 nights. However, when I mentioned that I was only in need of one bed, she switched me to a king room for the same lower rate as the double. The hotel is dated and has worn carpet with some obvious staining. The dated wallpaper is peeling off the wall in places in the bathroom. The porcelain tile floor's grout is dirty and stained, previously white by the look of the tile baseboard. I had to wipe a few hairs out of the tub before using it, and I was never able to completely turn the faucet off--it dripped all night. But the water pressure is good with sustained hot water, even to accommodate my long and leisurely shower time. Despite a low temperature of 35 in Phoenix at night during my stay in January, the room was warm...too warm. I tried to turn the AC down to cool the place off but the temperature still hovered in the mid-low 70s in the room. Not a comfortable sleeping temperature for me. I'm not surprised with only one small air vent in the room. Annoyingly, if your "Do not disturb" sign is up when housekeeping stops by in the morning (it was around 8am the first morning), they'll leave you a note that you missed your chance and you're required to call and ask for service if you need it. But at least the 2 water bottles they leave are complimentary. Overall, decent hotel. Rather convenient location with access to the 10. Views only of the parking lot but a comfortable place to sleep.
