  • The Macaron Bar has a decent selection of flavors so I ordered a half dozen to get a good idea of their selection. My favorites were the Earl Grey & the Dark Chocolate Espresso. I was really looking forward to the Lemon Lavender but it was a little too lemony for my taste. They use a chocolate ganache rather than buttercream for the filling which makes them a little more dense than I'm used to, but still really good. The flavors all seem very delicate at first but have a very strong finish that lingers in your mouth for a few minutes. I think this makes them easier to savor than ones I've had in other places. Prices are comparable to other bakeries that serve macarons. This is a growing business based out of Ohio & I believe this is their first location in Pittsburgh. The owner told me they are hoping to turn this location into a full store sometime in the future.
