| - I want to love this Loblaws, but just can't. Yes, it is nicely laid out. Yes, it is clean. Yes , it has good organic selection. Yes, it has high prices. Yes, the baked goods are very good. Yes, the produce gleams.
BUT.... Service (in my experience) has always gone exactly like a luxury car lot or a high end department store.
If I am well-coiffed and dressed nicely, I am treated well. If I come in very casual, I'm not. Recently I came in on a very cold day wearing my old coat and a toque carrying a backpack. In line I discovered someone had dropped their credit card. When I tried to hand it to the cashier, she snapped at me before she realized what I was saying. She finally begrudgingly said " ugggh, I'll take it up there in a while."
I saved her the trouble and dropped it by "customer service" on the way out.
This typifies my experience here. From now on, I will wear a suit or stick with other options.
