Being a Hawaii "local," we decided to see how it would be to stay at "The Cal." We have stayed at Main Street Station (MSS) and also The Orleans. We definitely like The Cal the best out of the bunch. Here's why:
::PROS::
The parking garage is actually quite good. Easy to find parking stalls and entry and exit are easy.
Room was clean. Room was also serviced every day and fully stocked with no issues. Maid staff was very friendly.
No resort fee! I know this is a strip thing. But no resort fee is a pro for us.
Convenient in-room refrigerator. We like to have some beverages when we are thirsty, and this is great to have
Vending machine on each floor. I know this sounds stupid, but there are some hotels (i.e.-The Cosmopolitan) that don't have a beverage vending machine on any floor. I appreciate that option.
::SEMI-CONS::
The West Tower rooms (although renovated) are beginning to show some wear already. Noticed that there are stains on the carpet and some furniture not closing properly.
So much Hawaii clientele! I know this shouldn't be a "con" per se, but being from Hawaii, you really don't want to see more Hawaii people there. You're on vacation. But really, I'm just being so nitpicky here.
