| - I came here with fellow yelp members. Having tried Foiegwa before, I was very excited to try the Atwater Cocktail Club. I also love the concept of a speakeasy, especially when its really hard to find. At first I thought you had to go through the Foiegwa restaurant to get to the speakeasy but the entrance is actually around the corner from the restaurant in a dark alleyway. Sometimes you will see people lining up in the alleyway or just hanging out there so it gives it away that the bar is located there. I had the Glitter Green cocktail which consists of cucumber bitter, lime, cucumber & jalapeno syrup, mezcal and sauza). The drink was light and refreshing but had way too much ice. My date had the Quivi cocktail made with (agave, yellow kiwi, lime juice, egg white, xeres, cachaca. It was a light, fruity drink. I dont know why but it tasted like bananas to me. We shared the croque madame which is a croque monsieur with an egg on top. I never had that before. It was so good! They put a lot of ham inside so it was a thick croque madame. We also shared the bone marrow. At first I found that it was bland but then realized later that the salt was on the plate all along!! The fries were very good and came with the croque madame. Not only are the drinks good but I like that this speakeasy has delicious food and that the portions are big! The decor is also nice and I think it would be a good place to bring a date. It was pretty empty on a Tuesday but we also went really early. I've walked by before and seen a lineup so for sure this place is happening! I will be back!
