Going on 9 hours at the ER. Inept, poorly organized & clearly lacking knowledge of HIPAA regs. Waiting in the hallway in the treatment room area & can clearly hear confidential patient medical information. I wouldn't be comfortable being treated in such a poorly managed operation. My husband waited 1 hour 45 minutes for an X-ray. The staff seem to be confused & are walking around a lot (trying to look busy?). A nurse my husband had asked earlier about the Cubs & Mets playoff game happened by & he asked her the score. She hollered it back & then said YOU'RE WELCOME! very rude. It is heartless & unprofessional to be laughing it up while patients in extreme pain feeling forgotten sit 6 feet from them. I don't do well with Helpless. I really don't do well witnessing "healthcare providers" not being aware of their patients feelings, not valuing their time & essentially adding to ill people's suffering. New tidbit!! Announcement just came over that the Phones are DOWN! Who runs this place? Maybe Mr Wynn should come in and clean up the operation. Pls know I'm not alone in my frustration-- well over 50 patients have been here since we've been here at 12:30 & are as upset if not more than us. Many are seriously in pain & suffering. Oh wait, the Amenity Cart of chotchky giveaways "makes up" for the 3-ring circus. I'd be embarrassed to work here. We will do anything to avoid this experience!!
Wish Negative stars were available on Yelp!
Ethical? Is it ETHICAL to allow/expect/make patients wait when your institution clearly can't accommodate them? Isn't that Code Black (like the TV show)?
