3.5 for my first two visits, mostly commenting on the dessert.
Very cute and cozy patisserie on the east side, finally! This space is a great addition to university circle and I especially appreciate that they are open late. I like seeing independent businesses pop up in uptown. I have to say the best part is the cute, modern French decor and ambiance and their amazing diversity of offerings (from drinks to coffee to oysters to dessert.)
Unfortunately, I haven't had the best of luck with the desserts. When they first opened, I came on the last day of their opening weekend and tried their macarons. They were very chewy, and not in the light + tacky way that macarons are supposed to be. I also recently tried their pistachio + fruit jelly dessert. It had good flavor and it wasn't too sweet, but it just didn't taste...fresh and light. So sad about that.
I hope to keep trying things here, especially the oysters and drinks in the evening.
