| - Worst experience ever. As someone who works and has avid customer service skills/knowledge...and of course...being from Vegas... we are spoiled with how we are treated here, so trust me. The front desk staff here is the most unprofessional I've seen at a salon. If you're going to have a high-end salon and charge $250-$500 for hair. Start with your front desk. They are the first and foremost FRONT of your business. They answer phones and greet your clients. I've had nothing but problems with them from the get go. I came in, and both gals at the front desk said Hello to me WITHOUT taking their eyes off their CELL PHONES. Begrudgingly, one decided to put her phone down and help me. WITHOUT SAYING A WORD, she melts off her chair like she was offended to have to get off her @$$, and walks away. Leaving me to stand there awkwardly. She didn't tell me to please take a seat or that she would be back in a moment...nothing. My hair turned out great, BUT I felt the color only lasted 3 washes...and I'm a dry shampoo gal. I wash my hair twice a week.
NOW, pay attention... this is where the Salon lost my business:
I called to set up an appointment and again the girl mumbled when she answered the phone that I had to ask her repeatedly what she was saying. She wasn't engaged with me...had an attitude and kept laughing and talking to someone else while I was on the phone. I scheduled my appointment a month out, and she at first confirmed me for the wrong date and time... and almost hung up on me ...I was able to stop her, and told her "No....I said_______"
My Hair appointment day comes... I received the most piece of crap voicemail from this gal. She was talking to other people, giggling.. She informs me to come in 15 minutes late from my appointment as my stylist is running late. Sure, no problem. So I show up...at the later time, and again....both girls barely greet me, on their cell phone with 2 stylists up there on their phones as well. I tell them who I am here for...and NEITHER ONE OF THEM MOVE. So this is making me anxious at this point.... 5 minutes go by...still on their phones and still don't move. 15 minutes go by...I'm starting to get anxious...I almost stand up to ask but they have a rush of clients that come in/check out... so I wait which takes another 15 minutes for them to get everyone situated... I sit down waiting for one of them to say something to me..
I'm at the 30 MINUTE MARK----30 MINUTES!!!!!! 30 minutes of MY TIME...as I get up to go ask what is going on, this girl comes up to me and says the following: "well... I called you earlier to inform you that ___ is running late...but she actually got done early and ran to go get food....then had car problems....she also just informed me that she has an emergency and is not coming in" And I said "So you let me sit here for 30 minutes???? and knew she wasn't here?" WHAT. THE. WHAT. AT THIS POINT, I KNOW THIS IS A LIE. Too much detail and excuses. first of all... piss poor management of your staff... secondly, I'm not heartless, I know life happens. YOUR front desk staff should be completely transparent. I would have appreciated that when I showed up you told me "Look, we 're trying to get a hold of ___ because she hasn't returned...I'm sorry for the inconvenience..we will let you know ASAP what's going on. Would you like to try and reschedule if it's too long of a wait? " If I see that you are trying to figure out what's going...then I would have been more understanding. You both sat there chit chatting with each other about other stylists and clients... I could hear you while I was sitting up there talking about each other!
The girl said another stylist could help me, but in another hour...I said "I don't have another hour to wait... I've already been 45 minutes PAST my original appointment time..." she then proceeded to tell me that Jay (the owner) could take me but he would be way more expensive or I can reschedule ...and at this point, I just stormed out.
I don't care if you're high-end BECAUSE people spend a lot of money with this place and you should treat them with respect. You should NEVER take for granted your following and customers. When you start acting as if YOUR TIME as a stylist is more precious and not the other way around, you start to lose your core values as a business and company and people start to take their HARD earned money elsewhere. It's not the fact that my stylist "Had an emergency"....its the fact that I sat there for 30 minutes with NO check up and it was like they were avoiding talking to me... because they messed up. ALSO--- PUT YOUR FRONT DESK TO WORK. Your shelves are dusty and your whole front waiting area could be wiped down. Don't allow your staff to be on their phones when ANY customer is around to see. They should be attentive AT ALL times.
DON'T LET YOUR FRONT DESK STAFF TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS WITH DISRESPECT. I DON'T PAY $300 TO BE TREATED THIS WAY. DONE.
