  • This company advertises on kijiji without a name. I only managed to find their name after googling their phone number. No surprise, I wouldn't have booked them had I read their reviews first. For starters, the movers were 45 minutes late and impossible to get a hold of. Once they arrived there was no apology and they didn't even ring the doorbell, just waited for us to come to them. They brought a contract for me to sign which included a ton of extra fees and stipulations I did not agree to. Thankfully I had insisted on getting my minimum charge and hourly rate in writing via email so they agreed to honour it. (Always get things in writing with these kinds of companies.) They still asked for a deposit that was higher than their minimum charge before they would start which was absolutely ridiculous. I had an extremely easy, small move where I had prepacked everything into boxes/bags except for a few large items and had it all ready in the garage. They seemed genuinely disappointed that I was prepared and that they wouldn't be able to waste my time. They still decided to stop for gas on the way (because that apparently couldn't have been done in the 45 minutes they were late???). The unloading went fine. I helped move the items but they were still rude. (Barely spoke to me, wouldn't hold the elevator for 2 seconds on the way down, etc). I actually had to stop them before they ran off after dropping the last item off because they'd left some of my furniture in a way I couldn't use/didn't put back in original state as promised. I saw several of my boxes being shoved around or dropped. Despite everything being boxed and stuffed with insulation they managed to break 2 dishes still in their original packaging and my crockpot. I consider myself lucky that was the extent of it. Also FYI there's no way for you to go with them so you will have to find your own ride if you don't drive. Not the biggest deal but again something that would have been nice to have warning about. Summary: Tries to sneak on charges through a contract you only get the day of that is not what you'll be told over the phone, will waste your time, will break/damage your items, will be impossible to get a hold of if something goes wrong, will leave without a second thought to how your furniture is placed, will be rude/completely ignore you. MAYBE this would be worth it if they were the cheapest around, but they aren't. Shop around and find better.
