| - I don't know. Pretty good donuts, terrible customer service. I was there at 3 AM with only one other customer in the store, the one ahead of me. He was getting four dozen donuts, didn't care which kind, I was getting 2.
The first thing that happened was they said he'd have to wait 30 minutes for the one flavor he requested, which he said was fine. Then the person spend 15 minutes trying to figure out which donuts to give him, while of the eight or so other employees behind the counter, three work on donuts, one at the register, and four standing around gossiping, laughing, eating, and drinking. The guy can tell this is taking ages, and says they should help us since he has to wait 30 minutes anyway and they're cleaning out flavor after flavor. They completely ignore him. He says it again. They ignore again. Bare in mind, no one has even greeted us or said "hey we'll be with you in five minutes."
Anyway, the staff were rude to us throughout the rest of the experience, including ignoring me and rolling her eyes when I asked if she could save the last sprinkle donut for me, because as I said - other guy was getting donuts for a party and said he did not care which flavors.
Finally got out of there, but the whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth. Maybe the line rules about one person helping make sense during the day, but it shouldn't take 25 minutes to serve two customers at 3am with no one else in the store.
Here's to hoping they realize that Madison isn't NYC and we actually treat each other with respect here.
