I think this venue is off to a great start! Entry was easy and organized. There's a huge patio with snacks (yay). When we walked in the venue, it was COLD which as a peri-menopausal person, I greatly appreciated.
Bartenders were on the ball and getting drinks was super easy. My double gin and tonic was $9 which was startling as I'm using to paying almost twice that. The lobby area is beautiful and similar to The Pressroom (I think they're owned by the Van Buren folks as well as Crescent). Friends said the bathrooms were quite nice.
There were a few sound hiccups with the show but not enough to ruin anything.
A big THANK YOU from my arthritic knees for not putting in concrete floors! Given how much I hopped around last night, I should feel pretty sore today and I do not.
One tip to the owners: you know those gigantic ceiling fans at The Pressroom? You need those here. With a sold out show, it felt and smelled like human people soup by the end of evening. Every part of me was sweaty and I don't want to think about how much stranger DNA ended up on me.
As an avid concert-goer, I wouldn't hesitate to come again. But, pretty please with human people soup on top, please put in ceiling fans?
