| - This is true French. It's a busy, bright and vibrant atmosphere in a building that is not marked, except for the charming black-and-white tiled entryway. The servers are dedicated to their work and know their business - the kind of service that predicts what you'll need before you need it, and provides it without you noticing. The food is ostensibly simple, but artfully done, both in presentation and flavor. An easy example is the amazing crusty bread, cold butter, and cornichons they give you as you wait for your entrees. I could have happily eaten bread, butter, and pickles all night, but the chèvre chaud and canard confit were welcome interruptions - the duckiest duck and the cheesiest cheese! It's a wonderful place to linger over a glass of wine and the last bit of whatever you ordered - it doesn't matter, because it's all good. Just be sure to put in reservations early - they are busy even on weeknights!
