After my troubles with AT&T Wireless and Apple with my iPhone, I decided that I wasn't going to be giving them any of my business ever again. Since I need a travel-capable phone, T-Mobile was the next best choice - their network is GSM/GPRS, a standard that works in more countries than Sprint or Verizon on CDMA.
Located in the shopping plaza with Costco, I popped in and asked the associates working there what was the best phone they had. He showed me his own phone - the HTC Sensation. It was a little expensive, but in my budget considering that I hadn't bought a phone in over two years.
Very efficient and helpful and knowledgeable, they were able to get me up and running quickly and with a minimum of fuss. Hooray, I have a new phone and AT&T can kiss my battery.
