Prior to our fleet vehicle being delivered we were instructed to pick up our interim vehicle from this location. When we arrived the vehicle selection was extremely limited (2 vehicles) as this location is located in the strip plaza on the side near Peter Piper.
The 1st vehicle we picked up in the morning was the only vehicle option available to us so we had to take it. Note this was a vehicle that was going to be in our possesion for at least 1 month so it needed to meet our needs. We noticed another vehicle in the lot and asked about it and the service rep said that we could take the vehicle however no keys were dropped off. We were able to look inside and literally it looked like a family had been living in the car for a long duration. The service rep informed us that we could change out from the initial vehicle up to 3 times so he would informed us once he received the keys and got it clean we could swap (nice)
When we got the call we returned back and thats where all the issues began. We noted that the vehicle was filthy dirty and needed to be cleaned. When we arrived to get the vehicle, we open the door and it showed signs that the vehicle's trash was pulled out but nothing was cleaned or wiped down. The new agent seemed reluctant but later said they would take the vehicle to Cobblestone so I sat in the lobby and waited... and waited.
When they returned (some 40 mins later), i looked over the vehicle and saw the same grime on the outside and same spilled stains on the doors... Literally it was similac... How do I know, the can and bottle were in the backseat buried under the drivers seat.
I was not happy but invested too much time so I took the vehicle as I needed to return to work. Over the next day I noticed a strong odor when getting in the vehicle and decided to inspect with greater detail and sure enough it was another pile of garbage under the seats and trapped around.
At this point I'm irate and return to the location to discuss with the manager (who was actually there while I waited for the car's initial cleaning). When I showed them the vehicle they could only apologize. I wanted to express my frustration to the person who took the vehicle to Cobblestone as her attitude the 1st time around was very nonchalant to get it right the 1st time and my return back seemed like I was more of a nucince than anything. Because this location really doesn't have a wash station I was directed to take the vehicle to the location near Priest & Elliott as they were about to close. The Manager contacted the manager at the location to advise that I was coming and to clean the vehicle with extreme care.
4 star is really for the initial service agent (gentleman) who helped up and contacted us when the 2nd vehicle became available, but the overall experience was one of the worst ones we've had with a car rental location. We will avoid this location at all cost.
