| - So I have been wanting to try Cowfish for what seems like forever, and finally made it there the other evening. My friend and I decided that if we were to go, we would definitely go on a Tuesday as they have there $5 10oz Martini Special. And lets just say that did not disappoint. They have some interesting Martini's going on here, but I started off with the "Chocolate Dipped Fortune Cookie" Martini which contained an Amaretto and Bailey's combo with a hint of vanilla vodka and my friend started off with the "Magnificent Mango" Martini which contained Mango liqueur and vanilla vodka. Both were excellent!!!
We advised the waiter this was our first time at Cowfish, and he went thru the whole Menu (as it is pretty large) and informed us of "what we need to know" to get thru and understand the Cowfish experience.
We deiced to start off with the "Crab & Avocado Rolls" Appetizer which are crispy spring rolls filled with lump crab meat, fresh avocado and tomatoes & Served with cashew and cilantro pesto..... This went perfect with the Martini's!!!
Now as for the Entrees I'm not a big Sushi Eater, so I was definitely on the "Cow" portion of "CowFish" and my friend was all about some Sushi, so she ordered the "Fish" portion... LOL. So I can't really talk about the Sushi here in this review, but I will talk about my Burger. So I ended up ordering the "Shroomin' Swiss Burger" which is a Beef burger loaded with Swiss cheese and sautéed mushrooms. Served with roasted garlic aioli, lettuce and tomato on a brioche bun. And my Side that I ordered was the Sweet Potato Fries. I have to say... this was alittle piece of Heaven!!!! The burger was cooked to perfection, and the Sweet Potato fries were just right.... definitely not overdone.
In between our delicious meal it was Martini time again, and we decided to switch it up this time.... I ordered the "Cheeky Monkey" which contained Malibu, Midori, Cointreau, vodka, pineapple, cream, fresh lime and my friend ordered the "Orange Rush" which contained Orange vodka, Apple Pucker, with splashes of Sprite and sour. Again both were excellent, but I think I may have preferred the Cheeky Monkey just a little bit more than the Chocolate Dipped Fortune Cookie. Also noticed that others who ordered the Fortune Cookie Martini actually had real Fortune cookie on the side of the Martini glass, which is a nice touch, but Mine was absent when it came to my table.
But overall I was very pleased with this place. The atmosphere was great. I definitely recommend reservations if you wanting an actual table as there aren't that many. It seems most people sit at the Bar because its HUGE, and goes a long the entire restaurant. Also loved some of the artwork on the walls!!! I will definitely be back!!!
