| - I've had Passport Coffee & Tea bookmarked in my little brainspace for months. It's hours of operation almost perfectly mirror my working hours, though, so when I finally found an opportunity to visit on a holiday day off, I took full advantage!
Originally, I was under the impression that Passport would be a little coffee/tea shop with a few scattered retail options. Then, based on previous reviews, I thought perhaps it was the other way around: a retail shop with maybe a small café.
In fact, Passport Coffee & Tea is 100% retail space. There is nowhere to sit and enjoy a coffee (or tea) like you would expect from a café. But don't let that deter you! Just understand what you're visiting before you get there so you're not let down.
VISITING PASSPORT COFFEE & TEA
When I visited Passport, I was cheerfully greeted by Chelsea (I hope my memory serves right with the name... and I hope I'm spelling it correctly!) even though it was early in the morning on a holiday week! She was extremely helpful and happy to show me around.
I learned that Passport makes all their teas and roasts all their coffee right there on-site. All products are offered at wholesale costs, which makes it a GREAT option for you tea/coffee lovers out there. Forget buying from the grocery store - go to Passport!
The selection of tea alone was very impressive to me. I love tea, almost as much as I love coffee, so to see such a wide variety of delicious, natural options was really exciting. Passport also carries other brands like Numi, further sweetening the pot.
In addition to fresh, quality loose-leaf tea and hot-off-the-roaster coffee beans, Passport offers all the tools you need in order to enjoy these delicious drinks - everything from tea kettles to french presses to coffee filters. It really is a unique little one-stop-shop.
During my visit, Chelsea offered me a sampling of a couple teas, already neatly set out and waiting for thirsty customers just to the right of the front door. I felt right at home in this little shop, sipping on my tea and browsing the tasty options and fun "toys".
CONCLUSION
If you're like me, and you LOVE the experience of quality coffee and/or tea, Passport is well worth a visit. You're bound to appreciate the selection and I know you'll love the prices! Passport has done a really good job here - I know I'll be back!
