!!!DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! On 07/05/2017 I was experiencing issues with my air conditioning at my residence. I Called my home warranty provider and requested service. American Home Shield Contracted A Team Air Conditioning to do the service and repairs.
A Team Air Conditioning showed up to my residence and I explained to him what the problem was and that my system was not cooling nor was it functioning properly and walked him through my residence and showed him where the indoor cooling system and outdoor condenser are located. He began to run some diagnostics and explained to me that my "freon" R22 was low and needed a refill and that I may have a freon leak. I expressed to him that if he could not locate a leak outside that he should check the inside unit as well and inspect it for leaks. He serviced the outdoor condenser unit and refilled it with R22 and cut a piece of excess material off the fan motor. He told me he could not find any leaks outside and I again requested that he check the inside cooling unit for leaks. He opened the door to the closet where the inside cooler is located and began to explain to me quickly on how to service my own system, clean it myself and refused to check the indoor cooling unit because he claimed he had to go to another service call. He promptly presented me with an invoice for the R22 refill and told me to call the office to schedule someone else to come and inspect the indoor cooler. I asked for a receipt for my payment and he refused to give me a copy and told me to take a cell phone picture of the invoice which I did. I immediately called A Team Air Conditioning to complain and to get someone back to my residence as soon as possible.
On Friday 07/07/2017 another Tech from A Team Air Conditioning came to my residence for the second service. He proceeded to do the same things as the previous technician had done and I instructed him to check the indoor cooling system located in the hall way access closet. He began to inspect the exterior of that unit and said it might need a cleaning. I told him to take off the panel and inspect it further for possible freon leaks or to see why its not cooling and to see if it needed to be cleaned.
He said he would but that he did not have the time to do the cleaning and for me to call again for a THIRD TIME and schedule for someone to come and do it and get pricing.
I immediately called A Team and told them about this and began to complain a second time. They gave me a quick price brake down of cleaning services and I chose the cheaper one ($150.00) and told me that the technician "was being lazy" and they would call him and have him do it as soon as I hang up with them.
They called him promptly after I hung up and he began to disassemble the panel and vent pipe to gain access to the coils located inside. He did the cleaning and closed the door and said he was finished and told me to pay $250.00 ($100.00 over what I was quoted).
I disputed this with him and he told me to take it up with the office. I asked for a receipt again and again he did not provide one and left quickly.
Shortly after he left, water began to leak from the closet onto the wood flooring between the hallway and into the living room. I opened the closet door to see where the water was coming from and noticed it leaking from the cooling unit WHICH IT HAD NOT DONE BEFORE. I also noticed the vent pipe was not returned to the ceiling which can cause carbon monoxide to leak into the house during the winter months.
I called my home warranty company and left a complaint with them who instructed me to contact BBB Which I later did.
On Monday 07/10/2017 at approximately 13:23 hours A Team finally got back to me and apathetically did not seem to care about the urgency of the problem they have created nor the damage created by their employee and said they would try to send someone to my residence the following day.
On Tuesday 07/11/17 A-team sent out a technician who finally was able to fully do all the work and get my A/C to working condition for free. He stated to me that it was the previous technicians fault for not clearing out the line after doing the "cleaning" and it caused the water to back up and flood water all over my flooring in the living room and hallway. The Tech took lots of pictures of the damages and told he me he would show them to his boss and business owner and they were going to get back to me the following day.
It has now been more than a week and I have not heard back from them on repairing my flooring that THEY DAMAGED!!!
*** I was finally able to get ahold of the office manager and he stated because I filed a complaint with the BBB that they were now going to be billing me for the third service that originally was done for free which would have cost me over $900 and that I would be getting credited back $250 I spent on the first cleaning service and the bill would be $700. NOW I AM BEING EXTORTED BY THIS CONTRACTOR!!!!!*****
