  • I've had a few bad experiences with this gym and location. And I hate this place. Only reason I come here is because it is conveniently located. One, they make you purchase a $1 towel if you forget to bring one. If you don't want to purchase a towel, they tell you you're not allowed to work out. There is a young girl with brown hair that works in the evenings that takes this very seriously. And will gladly patronize you if you don't purchase a towel. She seemed to be super happy that I was agitated at the threat of her telling me I can't work out in a facility I pay for without purchasing a towel. Just poor customer service. Two, if you are a woman and you don't feel like being gawked at while you stretch. Forget about it here. You have no option. They do not allow you to use the fitness room unless there is a class. You have no privacy to stretch. So, you get to spread your legs on the green astro turf community area where the dominantly male patrons can happily watch you stretching in all your glorious yoga poses. If you're a dancer, (which I am), this is also a deal breaker since again... they will not allow you access to use the fitness room when classes are not being used. I'm paying for a gym that I don't have all access to. Yay. Three, they have a cinema room that is always BLASTED. It rumbles the entire building and when you ask if they can turn it down, the employees don't care. I had a male employee walk into the cinema room, pretend to do something and then walk back out with zero changes to the volume of the TV's after I had asked if they could be turned down. I usually just tune out the noise with my headphones but sometimes, I can still hear it. Continuing with audio.... inside the Women's locker rooms, we have no ceilings (which I find kinda creepy and never change in there.)... but the radio is always blasted as well. It's very very loud. They also do not have paper towels inside the Women's locker rooms and have an incredibly loud hand dryer. But only one hand dryer.... for the entire locker room. Four, they have gigantic fans on their ceilings that I find really obnoxious. You can always feel the wind blowing on you and it always blows my hair into my face while I'm running. Lastly, inside Women's locker room, some of the female customers seem to think it's cool to claim a locker and leave their belongings in it. You will find it hard to find an available locker. And not because it's packed, but because customers literally will leave their belongings locked as if it was their own personal locker. The only other saving grace of this gym, other than location, is that they have good equipment and it's new. I like their pool, their showers and how clean it is.
