| - I went here for a wedding. My experience is strictly based on the food. The wedding had an 11 course traditional meal, consisting of a lot of pork, chicken, lobster and crab. Me being a vegetarian, I really lucked out.
All the dishes looked pretty good, and fresh. The roasted pig had very crispy skin, but the meat had a lot of fat. My veggie dishes were absolutely delish. I had spring rolls, dumplings, tofu, greens and mushrooms, corn soup, noodles just to name a few dishes.
We ended off the meal with red bean soup, mango mousse cake (the wedding cake), and some other chinese desserts. The wait staff and hotel staff were all extremely friendly and accommodating. Overall an extremely filling and satisfying meal. If you're looking for a place to have a banquet or event, the Metropolitan is a pretty good choice!
