So last night my regular game night was cancelled so I went to the new Castle boardgame cafe with my group.
It was a nice venue. I opted to try one of their waffles, which was very nice. The tea was okay, but the strainer let a few leaves into it.
Game-wise we played that firefighter game, which was fun until the building fell down around us. We got in a couple games of Tsuro & a game of Smashed Up.
It was a nice venue, and we probably should have grabbed one of the couch tables. The acoustics of the place are unforgiving if someone is playing Jenga.
The fee rate (Two fiddy an hour instead of Snakes' flat $5) wasn't too bad, and their selection was okay. It's got a great location, right on Spadina. It's a nice addition to the board game cafe ecosystem in Toronto.
