| - I went to this shop under a recommendation from my hair dresser. I had a specific idea in mind, and always trust her recommendations. Upon walking in, I was not greeted, was not helped directly, and was scrutinized for my appearance (jeans, boots, and a t-shirt). I was put off, and at that point quite frustrated.
When I was explaining what I was looking for, it was as though they decided I wouldn't have the money to spend with them (which is false). They told me they didn't have what I was looking for; they didn't offer to special order anything or help me look further. Told me to call later that week to see if they got anything in.
I am not sure if this is how you normally run a business, but I can say I highly doubt I will order or purchase anything from them at this rate. Where I work, even if we can't provide a customer with what they need (within reason), we attempt to find them a place that does; even if we lose some small business then, they will come back to us at a later date for being helpful, kind, and courteous.
Edit in response to Sunny's: It doesn't really clear up much, but I appreciate the response. I will likely not be doing business with you either way. Thanks.
No one told me it was outside of normal fulfillment, and in fact I was told that it was so popular you ordered it often. I did not ask for a manufacturer to make something that they are unable to; I simply asked what else was available. I do not appreciate the implications being made here that I was a difficult customer, and this has solidified my decision. Good luck in the future, I hope you continue to do well.
