| - I have never been so disrespected by anybody, let alone someone to whom I have afforded my business.
A manager at New Look Collision accused me of trying to "take advantage" of him and yelled from across the parking lot, "Get your car and get off my property!"
- car not repaired completely
- dishonesty
- lack of customer service
- shady business practices
- untimely service
I was rearended over three weeks ago. I dropped my car off at New Look three weeks ago. They were to replace the trim on the bumper, paint the bumper, and replace a light.
The trim was replaced and the bumper was painted but the light was not repaired. I was told they ordered 4 lights.. but it never worked out.. I understand not being able to locate a light but it shouldn't take 3 weeks to realize you can't find one. I was told "we can fix it", "we can't find a light", "we found a light", "it arrived broken", "we found another light, it will get here thursday", "we can't find a light, your car is ready for pick up". Basically I was given the runaround.
After taking three weeks to paint my bumper and replace the trim, I finally got my car back today. While looking over the vehicle with Mimi, I noticed a paint chip on the passenger fender and a large scrape on my front bumper. These damages were not there when I dropped the car off. Mimi said they make marks and take time-stamped pictures of all previous damage. We head inside to look at the pictures. She was unable to locate a picture of the damage. She introduces me to a manager. The manager is unable to locate the photos.
We head outside to look at the car and he starts picking the car apart: "Here is a scratch, this scrape here, this paint chip here, this is bubbling" etc. I told him I know the car wasn't pristine when I dropped it off (although it is in very good condition) but the damage to the front bumper and the paint chip on the fender are new. He said since the paint on the fender may have been bubbling, it is possible that while cleaning the vehicle, they chipped off that chunk of paint. He further states that they aren't responsible if the paint was already bubbling..
I remain calm and tell him I understand. And began calmly explaining my frustrations. As I am explaining my frustrations, the manager interrupts me, says "I am done here", begins to walk inside, and yells "Get your car and get off my property!"
Not mentioned in this review is my experience with Mimi, who was also extremely rude, disrespectful and even dishonest at times.
There is hidden damage that I saw and photographed prior to dropping off the car at New Look. Mimi did not report this damage to Progressive. When I told her on the phone there was hidden damage she says "No there is not, I am looking at it right now". Well I drove down there on the spot and pointed it out to her. She then told me, very rudely, "yeah, we saw that. we are going to fix it". I have yet to see if they actually did. But the point is, why lie and say there is not hidden damage when there is? Why not report the supplemental damage to Progressive?
Bottom line is, do not trust this business. I feel disrespected and slighted.
Horrible experience with New Look.
And to think I sought them out to do the repairs on my vehicle...
I would not recommend them to anybody.
